Patrick Lesec

Patrick Lesec founded his negociant business in 1993 after running a wine import company and a restaurant in Santa-Barbara, California for ten years. Convinced that wine connoisseurs put too much focus on glossy and expensive wines he decides to initiate a change. His negociant company starts to develop a number of wines from regions modern oenologie undervalues releasing the first vintage in 1995. Patrick Lesec continues to cooperate with world known winemakers. He purchases grapes from growers in famous regions like Chateauneuf du Pape, Rhone Valley and Languedoc. The annual production of wine increases beyond 50000 bottles.

Patrick Lesec Wines

Most of the wines are based on Grenache blends from vines which are up to 100 years old. This reduces the overall yield of grapes but puts emphasis on the aroma of the grapes. The main market for Patrick Lesec wines is North America. In 2001 he was elected “Wine Advocat personality of the year”. His flagship wines are Chateauneuf du Pape vintages.

Cooperation with the Domaine des Remizieres

Patrick Lesec cooperated with Philippe Desmeure from the Domaine des Remizieres. His wines are the red and white Cuvee Christophe. The red receives 60 % new and 40 % of one year old oak and is raised for 12-14 months in barrels. The white is a cuvee of 90 % Marsanne and 10 % Roussanne wine with a less present oak with 30 % new oak. The Patrick Lesec wine is therefore the same as the Cuvee Christophe from Philippe Desmeure.

Patrick Lesec wines are available here for Europe and North America.

Hi, my name is Christina Day, and I am a self-proclaimed wine connoisseur. It is my favorite alcoholic drink, and I enjoy nothing better than kicking back on the sofa after a long week of work to enjoy a glass of wine… or two!
